An 1100×1100 pallet may fit the load footprint, but size alone does not tell you whether it will work in your operation. The same outside dimensions can be built with three runners, a six-runner base, a nestable base or a double-faced structure. Those designs behave differently on a warehouse floor, in a rack and under handling equipment.

Start with the support condition
First decide where the loaded pallet will sit. Floor storage, block stacking, beam racking and conveyor handling do not support a pallet in the same places.
A pallet used only on a flat floor has continuous support underneath. A beam rack may support only two areas of the base. Conveyor or automated equipment can introduce another set of contact points and clearance limits. This is why a static load figure should not be treated as a racking load figure. The terms describe different conditions.
If the pallet will enter a rack, provide the clear span between beams, the loaded weight, the load footprint and the expected storage time. The supplier can then check the structure and reinforcement against the actual support condition.
Six-runner grid pallets for supported storage and circulation

The grid deck allows drainage and airflow, while the perimeter-style base can suit warehouse circulation, stacking and supported storage. For racking, check the quoted configuration rather than relying on the size or runner count alone. Steel quantity, load distribution and rack span all affect the final recommendation.
Treat this as a forklift, rack or automated-handling candidate. Do not assume it will suit a pallet jack. If a manual pallet truck is part of the process, send the fork dimensions and wheel layout before ordering.
Three-runner flat deck pallets when surface support matters

A flat top provides a continuous contact surface for cartons, bags or other packages that need more even deck support. The 1100×1100 reinforced three-runner flat deck pallet is published at 1100×1100×165mm. Its page lists 6,000kg static, 1,500kg dynamic and 1,000kg rack load, with an optional 6+3 steel-tube arrangement.
The three-runner layout also leaves defined entry channels underneath. This can be useful when forklift or pallet-jack access is required, but entry direction and wheel clearance still need checking. A pallet jack must roll through the base without the wheels contacting a runner or underside rib.
For hygiene-sensitive work, ask how the pallet will be cleaned and whether drainage is required. A flat deck can make wiping easier, while a grid deck may drain faster. The correct choice depends on the process and the package, not on a general claim that one deck is always cleaner.
Double-faced pallets for stacking and heavy circulation

Double-faced pallets have usable deck structures on both sides. They are commonly considered when stable stacking, repeated forklift handling or closed-loop circulation is more important than manual pallet-jack access.

Do not choose a double-faced pallet for pallet-jack use without checking the underdeck and the truck geometry. The lower deck can interfere with the small load wheels even when a forklift can enter. For operations that rely on manual pallet trucks, a compatible three-runner or another open-base design is usually the safer starting point for evaluation.
For loaded pallet stacking, confirm how the upper pallet transfers weight to the load below. Package strength and load distribution matter as much as the pallet structure.
Match the pallet to the equipment
Forklifts lift the pallet with forks. Pallet jacks also need their load wheels to travel under the pallet and return to the floor. That difference changes which bases are practical.
Before requesting a quotation, record:
- forklift or pallet-jack model and fork dimensions
- entry direction used in the warehouse
- conveyor roller spacing or automated-system contact points
- rack beam span and support direction, if applicable
- loaded pallet height and any stacking requirement
Photos or a simple equipment drawing often prevent a poor match. If several facilities will use the same pallet, check the equipment at each location rather than assuming the clearances are identical.
Compare the published ratings correctly
Static, dynamic and racking load ratings are not interchangeable. Static load describes a stationary pallet under the stated test condition. Dynamic load relates to movement, while rack load applies to a defined rack support condition.

Information to send before ordering
A useful 1100×1100 pallet inquiry should include more than the required quantity. Send the cargo footprint, loaded weight, package type, handling equipment, storage method and working environment. Add the following details when they apply:
- rack span and required storage time
- pallet-jack fork and wheel dimensions
- cleaning or drainage requirements
- cold-room temperature range
- one-way export or return-loop use
- requested colour, logo or tracking option
This information allows the pallet structure, material and reinforcement to be checked together. It also helps separate a genuine operating requirement from a feature that adds cost but does not help the application.
Choose the structure before comparing price
Three 1100×1100 pallets can share the same footprint and still serve different jobs. A six-runner grid pallet, a reinforced three-runner flat deck pallet and a double-faced pallet should not be treated as interchangeable products.
Start with the support and handling conditions. Then compare deck design, base structure and published load ratings. Once those points are clear, price comparisons become more useful because the shortlisted pallets are being evaluated for the same job.
